Happy Thanksgiving from Kathmandu

For Thanksgiving we enjoyed a nice glazed ham created by Flat Iron Grill, apple crumble from Chez Caroline, smashed yams, corn and applesauce.

But that was just dinner...

We started the morning with shopping in the newly enjoyable Thamel district. The traffic has been blocked and the streets turned into a pedestrian walkways.

All of a sudden, shopping downtown is enjoyable again.

Reading the signs is part of the fun

Prayer flags and mystery wires overhead. Mystery? How do they keep track of them!

No Cars!

Another treasure found
For lunch we went to the Forest and Plate restaurant. It is a 4 story climb to the rooftop location. The food was fresh and good. Excellent location and service. We will add it to our list of go-to locations in Thamel.
